Library Maritime Exhibit
Library Maritime Exhibit (April 2009) - A permanent exhibit for the entrance to the Pascagoula (MS) Public Library was designed to celebrate its heritage with the maritime industry.
The design was inspired by, and includes, portions of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem, "The Building of the Ship."
Donated shipbuilding artifacts include a functioning compass, navigational lanterns and a brass porthole. The exhibit case was also designed to integrate passages from Longfellow's poem.
