Hand Woven Rugs - These two rugs were woven on a floor loom. The rug on the left was dyed in the Japanese Ikat tradition, and the rug on the right is hand knotted with turkish knots.
Woven Ikat - This Ikat is hand dyed and woven to create the variegated color that is traditional to Japanese Ikat. The cotton yarns are tied off to create a resist. Then the yarns are dyed and woven on a floor loom.
