Jewellery Arts Page - The second vocation page I designed. The jewellery arts program was scarce in the photo department, so I had to take more than half the photos myself. I like how this page worked out, I think there's a nice balance between the student shots and the finished product shots. There were five or six other close crops actually made for this page, as it went through a lot of organization problems.
Graphic Arts Page - A double-page spread, the graphic arts page I designed ended up being scrapped in the end. I knew what I wanted going in. I planned it out, taking the photos myself that I would later close-crop. Considering how this was made in the Graphic Arts class, pictures were very plentiful and easy to obtain. And the final group photo of the class was put into a 'Photo scattering' effect, just by copying and pasting into multiple boxes.
Lacrosse Page - Like my other Sports page, Golf, the Lacrosse page is basically stuck in the stage between template and final design, due to the lack of pictures and write-up from the coach. For the Lacrosse stick, I simply close cut it from a photograph, and traced it so I can arrange it how I please. The background picture is just a Lacrosse action shot in the threshold/transparent effect.
Golf Page - The golf page was actually recently taken out due to the lack of participation and pictures, but I've been told this design will be used next year. The background is simply a cropped picture of the 'Stratska' golf club golf course. A very simple page I realize, but there was little to come up with for our golf page I found. And "Forrrre" is unfortunately, the best header I could come up with keeping with the whole "Grr" theme.
Musical Page - This is one I had trouble with. I could organize the pictures, throw in a close crop, along with the header, but I had no idea what to finish it with. I searched for pictures of "St. Louis", in the hopes I'd find something. I ended up using 4 different background images until I came across this one. One that I think fits really well in the page. It's a back-drop of the city with a posterized effect.
Rock the Heights Page - While browsing through the Activities signature, I noticed nobody had done anything with the Rock the Heights page, so I decided to give it a shot. Like a lot of other pages, no pictures or write-ups yet for this one. It's actually kind of funny, because this is a result of me just throwing random objects together, organizing them, and placing holder boxes for where photos will go. The 'rock and roll hand' is just a simple redraw of a real hand.
