Laced Sound Collection
As a tactile investigation, I looked at musical instruments as a subject not normally associated with texture. An A-Style mandolin, McCartney bass, vintage bongo set and two tambourines make up this collection of functional lace-crochet embellished musical instruments. My materials, cotton thread and baby alpaca lace yarn, helped create a visual on the instruments as well an interesting texture that does not interfere with the instruments play ability.
