Paper Sandals - These are a pair of paper sandals built as part of an assignment in which we were to use two-ply bristol paper to construct usable footwear. Sole construction is based upon a scalable unit cell model in which each cell interlocks with two of its neighbors, and each group of three interlocks with two other groups, and so on. Uppers are constructed from woven bristol paper
Retro Chopper 1 - This is a motorcycle I designed and built. It is constructed from parts of a few different Suzuki motorcycles fit into a custom frame I fabricated from seamless 1026 steel tube. The design style was inspired by 1960's era choppers. This picture was taken during the dry-fit/test assembly stage before I fitted the hand-made leather seat and cleaned up the frame and body.
Chair Concept - This is a contour study of a chair I designed. The idea behind the form is that chair can be customized to an individual's back profile by swapping out any of the tubular cushion units. This drawing was also a freehand exercise using overlays and pen.
Cardboard Seating - This is a fully functional stool constructed from single-ply corrugated cardboard. This is an original design drawing on principles in both industrial design and mechanical engineering.
Line/Tone Study: Bulldog - This is an exercise in using variation of line width to express grey-scale values.
