Lila Lazarus hosts real talk with breast cancer survivors, patients, caregivers and experts during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This virtual video talk series covers a new topic each week – all while highlighting Ford Warriors in Pink wear and gear that helps warriors move by raising funds for transportation solutions.
Facebook Premiere posts were utilized to alert and allow viewers to schedule the viewing of the videos as soon as they came out every Thursday in October.
This was the first episode of five that dealt with breast cancer in the age of COVID-19.
To kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we worked with The TODAY Show to honor a breast cancer patient who has made it her goal to be there for childhood cancer patients as they move through their journey. To thank her for her dedication to and bravery in helping others move, we help Erika and her family move with a new Ford Explorer. We also included special packages of masks for her to distribute to the breast cancer community to help them mask up as well.
As Breast Cancer Awareness Month continued, so did our mission to help keep Warriors moving. Ford Warriors In Pink teamed up with the Ford Fund to deliver more than 720,000 face masks to breast cancer organizations across the nation to help patients and their families stay safe getting to and from appointments.
Ford Warriors in Pink was gifted free outdoor board space to carry the message further and provide extra visibility for the program. Ten updated boards in the metro Detroit area and in Dayton, Ohio.
Ford Warriors in Pink's efforts were documented in both Ford and FWIP social channels.
A quarterly newsletter is also emailed out to promote the Warriors Moving Warriors talk series as well as promotions on apparel and bandanas.
