MicroHeat Design Competition - 3rd Place
Microheat Technologies are currently in development of an instant water-heating system. This design competition challenged PDE teams to generate alternative product systems using this technology. The 'eco-wash & go' incorporated the heating elements in the high-pressure gun. By heating the water slightly, the need for detergent was reduced without altering the effectiveness of the wash. The energy used by the elements, (especially if solar) produced less emissions than the embodied CO2 within the detergents.
